Arkaroola 4 Day Tour.

Day three:

Depart William Creek approx 8.00 am for Arkaroola via the Oodnadatta Track & Marree. Visit Coward Springs; Artesian springs the Bubbler and Mound Springs, Curdimurka, Lake Eyre South, before lunch at Marree.  Visit the ruins of the ghost town of Farina the original old Ghan railhead, Lyndhurst Ochre Pits & the Leigh Creek coal field.  Leave the desert behind as we enter the Gammon Ranges arriving at Arkaroola approx 6.30 pm.


Day Four:

Take the famous 4 hour 4WD Arkaroola ridge top tour before leaving for Wilpena Pound, traveling through the heart of the Flinders Ranges, 4WD trek into Chambers Gorge, the most spectacular accessible gorge in the Flinders Ranges, view the gallery of aboriginal rock engravings thousands of years old before visiting the old copper mining town of Blinman.  Walk into Wangarra lookout on arrival at Wilpena Pound Resort.


Day Five:

8.30 am. Spectacular Scenic flight around this ancient, geological formation called Wilpena Pound. Return to Adelaide via Bunyeroo Valley & Gorge, Aroona Valley, Brachina Gorge, (a geological journey through 640 million years) & the Clare Valley, famous for Quality wine production, sample he local produce before arriving in Adelaide approx 6.30pm.

Unsealed roads in this area are impassible when wet and may be closed after heavy rain.

If in the unlikely event we are unable to proceed beyond Coober Pedy, we will return via the main highway & continue the tour through the Flinders Ranges.
