Included:  Morning tea, lunches, local 4WD tour and scenic flight,

Day one:  8.00 – 8.30am pickup from hotel in Adelaide, and travel 400 Kms North to historic townships of Quorn & Hawker, the Hub of the Flinders Ranges and the gateway to the Outback.  Lunch at Hawker before connecting with local 4 Hour 4WD Tour through the beautiful Arkaba Hills.

Book into accommodation at Hawker or Wilpena depending on availability of accommodation.

 

Day two: Early breakfast before 30-minute flight around this spectacular, ancient geological formation called Wilpena Pound.  After your unforgettable flight return to Adelaide via Bunyeroo Valley, Gorge & Brachina Gorge, a geological journey through 640 million years.

Lunch at Hawker before continuing through the quality wine producing Clare Valley.

Stop to sample some local produce, arrive in Adelaide approx 6.00 – 6.30pm.

Day one: Same as day one of two-day tour.

 

Day two: Early breakfast before 30-minute flight over Wilpena Pound.  Depart for Chambers Gorge, the most spectacular accessible gorge in the Flinders Ranges.  4WD trek into gorge for lunch in idyllic surroundings and view the gallery of aboriginal rock engravings reputed to be thousands of years old.

Return to Wilpena via the old copper mining town of Blinman and the Flinders Ranges National Park.

 

Day three:  Return to Adelaide via Bunyeroo Valley & Gorge, Aroona, Brachina Gorge, and on to Hawker for lunch.  Then on to Adelaide via the Clare Valley stopping for wine tasting on the way.

Arrive in Adelaide approx 6.00 – 6.30pm.

Day One:

Tour departs Adelaide at 6.30 am for Coober Pedy via Pt Augusta and Woomera

(brief visit to Heritage Park in Woomera).

Arrive Coober Pedy approx  5.00 pm.

Tour around Coober Pedy on arrival including The Breakaways.

O/night accommodation at Coober Pedy.

 

Day 2:

Depart for William Creek approx 8.00 am.  Flight over Lake Eyre on arrival before Lunch.

Drive out to Halligan Bay at Lake Eyre (5 Hour, 134 Kms return trip).

O/night at William Creek Hotel.

 

Day 3:  Extended tour to Wilpena Pound.

Depart William Creek approx 7.00 am for Adelaide via Marree.

Stop in at Coward Springs; visit the Bubbler and Mound Springs before arriving at Lake Eyre South.

Visit Marree & farina for lunch visit Farina, Ochre pits & the Leigh Creek coal field before o/night at Wilpena.

 

Day 3: Extended tour to Arkaroola.

Depart William Creek approx 7.00 am for Adelaide via Marree.

Stop in at Coward Springs; visit the Bubbler and Mound Springs before arriving at Lake Eyre South.

Day 4: Extended tour to Wilpena Pound.

Early morning scenic flight around Wilpena Pound before heading off on a scenic tour back to Adelaide via Bunyeroo Valley/Gorge, Brachina Gorge, Old Kanyaka Homestead & the Clare Valley, arrive Adelaide 6.30pm.

 

Day 4: Extended tour to Arkaroola.

Take the 4 Hr 4WD Arkaroola ridge top tour, before leaving for Wilpena Pound traveling through the heart of the Flinders Ranges, visiting Chambers Gorge, arrive Wilpena Pound Resort approx 6.00 pm.

Day one:

7.30 am pickup from your hotel in Adelaide, travel in a modern, air-conditioned Four Wheel Drive Station Wagon, 400Kms north via Pt Augusta & The Pichi Richi Pass to Quorn, visit Warren Gorge, Simmonston (the town that never was) Kanyaka Ruins (abandoned during the “Great Drought” c1864) and on to Hawker for lunch.

After lunch, we journey through the beautiful 28 km Moralana Scenic Drive, take in the view from Pugilist Hill Lookout before booking into our accommodation at Rawnsley Park Station or Wilpena Pound Resort.

Enjoy an unforgettable 30-minute Scenic Flight around this spectacular geological formation called Wilpena Pound. 

 

Day 2:

Continue our Journey to Arkaroola as we travel through the heart of the Flinders Ranges via Bunyeroo Valley & Gorge, Brachina Gorge, Parachilna Gorge and Blinman for lunch.  With abundance of wildlife in the area you could see Kangaroos, Emus and the graceful Wedge tailed Eagle.

Stop for a 4WD trek into Mt Chambers Gorge, the most spectacular accessible gorge in the Flinders Ranges.

View the gallery of ancient Aboriginal Rock Engravings, before continuing into the Gammon Ranges National Park and the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary Resort.

 

Day 3:

Early breakfast before joining the exclusive, world famous, award winning, Arkaroola Ridge Top Tour, travel through the creeks, valleys & over the ridges of the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, climaxing with an amazing view from Sillers lookout.

After lunch, take an Arkaroola Local Sights Tour to capture more memories of the flora, fauna & rugged beauty of this wonderous, ancient area.

After dark you may tour the universe from Australia’s largest privately owned astronomical observatory.

 

Day 4:

Return to Adelaide via Copley, Leigh Creek & the historic township of Beltana (the town that refuses to die, the first outback posting of the Rev. John Flynn) stop for lunch at Hawker.  Continue on to Adelaide traveling to the east of the ranges through Orroroo, Jamestown and the famous wine producing Clare Valley.  Sample some of the local produce, if time permits, before arriving to your Adelaide accommodation approximately 6.00 – 6.30 pm.
