June 2011 Lake Eyre Tours 2011
Aussie Heritage Tours, 4WD Aussie Outback Adventures.
Lake Eyre specialist tour operator since 2000 Personalised, fully accommodated Lake Eyre tours, scenic flights included. |

Our AHT08FWS “ Lake Eyre Floodwater Special” 5 day tour introduced for the 2010 season was a huge success, unfortunately many people with late booking enquiries were turned away because of accommodation shortages. Accommodation in the outback is in short supply and high demand during a “Lake Eyre Event” it is wise to book a tour as far in advance as possible.
Tomorrow may well be too late. |

This “Lake Eyre Floodwater Special” 5 day tour is being offered again for 2011 and the response has again been very good, check out the testimonials from our happy customers, available here at the bottom of this page.
There is a major flood still to come down the Warburton, expected to be in Lake Eyre in the next couple of months and continue flowing for a couple of months after entering Lake Eyre.
“The Warburton Creek is flowing into Lake Eyre at the moment and Lake Eyre has a coverage of approx 70%.” (source, Wrightsair, William Creek).
There are two moderate floods heading down the Cooper Creek at the moment between Innamincka and the Birdsville Track. Our tour group who flew this tour May 10th. were all thrilled by the experience. The water from this flood is expected to cut the Birdsville Track but not for a long period.
This is most likely the last year that this tour will be offered, it would work without seeing floodwater in the river systems but it would not be quite the same.
Our regular AHT08ME “Coober Pedy, Lake Eyre, Arkaroola, Flinders Ranges & Wilpena” 5 day tour & AHT08M “Coober Pedy, Lake Eyre, Flinders Ranges & Wilpena” 4 day tour are also filling fast, check out our availability here. |

As the founder of Aussie Heritage Tours, 4WD Aussie Outback Adventures in 2000 I would like to take the opportunity to thank my wife Chris for her help, patience and support. To all of our past clients for their support of our business over the past 11 years, a very special thanks to you. It is the wonderful people that I have taken away on various tours that has made this business a delight to operate. It has been a pleasure showing people around our big backyard. |

I have retired from driving tours from October 2010 but continue to manage the business to June 2011 when Paul Keen the Proprietor of Wallaby Tracks Adventure Tours takes over.
Paul is highly regarded in the industry and I am sure he will continue to provide the same quality of tours and service that we have established from day one. He is the tour operator I personally wanted to take the business into the future.
To the management and staff of our accommodation and service providers, a big thank you for the friendly welcome and support that I received in the beginning, and during my time operating Aussie Heritage Tours, 4WD Aussie Outback Adventures.
To the South Australian Tourism Commission, management and staff, thank you for the helpful advice & support, I am sure the business would not have been a success without it.
