The Flinders Ranges Adventure.

Day one: 7.30 am. pickup from your hotel in Adelaide, and travel 300 Klms North to Pichi Richi Pass and the historic Ghan Railway township of Quorn, visit the spectacular Warren Gorge & the Kanyaka Homestead Ruins abandoned during the Great Drought of 1864-7
Lunch at Hawker the Hub of the Flinders Ranges and the gateway to the Outback before traveling through the Moralana Scenic Drive, one of the best in the Flinders Ranges, continuing on to the Pugilist Hill Lookout for views of the Chace Range & Wilpena Pound.
Book into accommodation at Rawnsley Park Station or Wilpena Pound Resort depending on availability of accommodation.
Day two: Early breakfast before 30-minute flight around this spectacular, ancient geological formation called Wilpena Pound. After your unforgettable flight return to Adelaide via Bunyeroo Valley / Gorge & Brachina Gorge, a geological journey through 640 million years.
Lunch at Hawker before continuing on through the quality wine producing Clare Valley.

Day one: Same as day one of two-day tour.
Day two: Depart for Chambers Gorge, the most spectacular accessible gorge in the Flinders Ranges. 4WD trek into gorge for lunch in idyllic surroundings and view the gallery of aboriginal rock engravings reputed to be thousands of years old.
Visit the old copper mining town of Blinman for lunch and return to Wilpena via the Flinders Ranges National Park.
Day three: Early breakfast before 30 minute flight over Wilpena Pound. Return to Adelaide via Bunyeroo Valley & Gorge, Brachina Gorge, and on to Hawker for lunch. Then on to Adelaide via the Clare Valley stopping for wine tasting on the way.
Arrive in Adelaide approx 6.00 – 6.30pm.

Tour departs Adelaide at 6.30 am for Coober Pedy via Pt Augusta and Woomera (brief visit to Heritage Park in Woomera).
Arrive Coober Pedy approx 5.30 pm. Tour around Coober Pedy on arrival including The Breakaways, Dingo Fence, Big Winch Lookout & Underground Catholic Church.
O/night accommodation at Coober Pedy.
Day two:
8.00 am. Visit an Opal shop before departing for William Creek via Anna Creek Station, the largest cattle property in the world.
One hour scenic flight over Lake Eyre on arrival.
Lunch at William Creek Hotel before 4WD trek to Halligan Bay at Lake Eyre (5 Hour, 134 Kms return trip).
O/night at William Creek Hotel or Camp ground cabins.
Day three:
Depart William Creek approx 8.00 am for Wilpena Pound Resort via Marree, Lyndhurst & Copley.
Stop in at the Bubbler and Mound Springs before morning tea at Curdimurka siding.
Stop at Lake Eyre South before continuing on to Marree for lunch.
Visit the ghost town of Farina, Lyndhurst Ochre pits, Beltana, Parachilna Gorge, Historic Blinman Copper Mine & Flinders Ranges National Park before o/night at Wilpena Pound Resort or Rawnsley Park Station.
Day Four:
1/2 Hr scenic flight before departing for Adelaide traveling through the heart of the Flinders Ranges, visiting Bunyeroo Valley & Gorge, Brachina Gorge, Hawker, & the Clare Valley for wine tasting (time permitting). Arrive in Adelaide approx 6.00pm.

Unsealed roads in this area are impassible when wet and may be closed after heavy rain.
If in the unlikely event we are unable to proceed beyond Coober Pedy, we will return via the main highway.

With abundance of wildlife in the area you could see Kangaroos, Emus and the graceful Wedge tailed Eagle.
Stop for a 4WD trek into Mt Chambers Gorge, the most spectacular accessible gorge in the Flinders Ranges, view the gallery of ancient Aboriginal Rock Engravings, before continuing on into the Gammon Ranges National Park and the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary Resort.
Day three: Early breakfast before joining the exclusive, world famous, Arkaroola Ridge Top Tour, travel through the creeks, valleys & over the ridges of the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, climaxing with an amazing view from Sillers lookout.
After lunch, take a short trip to the beautiful Echo Camp waterhole, and capture more memories of the flora, fauna & rugged beauty of this wonderous, ancient area.

Depart William Creek approx 8.00 am for Arkaroola via the Oodnadatta Track & Marree. Artesian springs the Bubbler and Mound Springs, Curdimurka railway siding, Lake Eyre South, before lunch at Marree. Visit the ruins of the ghost town of Farina the original old Ghan railhead & Lyndhurst Ochre Pits.
Leave the desert behind as we enter the Gammon Ranges arriving at Arkaroola approx 5.30 pm.
Day Four:
Take the famous 4 hour 4WD Arkaroola ridge top tour before leaving for Wilpena Pound, traveling through the heart of the Flinders Ranges, before visiting the old copper mining town of Blinman.
Visit Stokes Hill lookout before our arrival at Rawnsley Park Station under the rim of Wilpena Pound.
Day Five:
8.30 am. Spectacular Scenic flight around this ancient, geological formation called Wilpena Pound.
Return to Adelaide via Bunyeroo Valley & Gorge, Brachina Gorge, (a geological journey through 640 million years) & the Clare Valley, famous for Quality wine production, sample he local produce before arriving in Adelaide approx 6.30pm.
